Vishal Bhardwaj is one of the most reputed, respected and best director of Bollywood. He has given brilliant films such as Maqbool, Omkara and Kaminey in past. His love for William Shakespeare’s work is not hidden from the world. Two of his popular movies Maqbool and Omkara were adapted from Shakespeares’ work Macbeth and Othello. His film Haider is also adapted from William Shakespeare’s work Hamlet and complete his Shakespeare trilogy. Haider is released on 2nd October 2014 world wide. The film stars Shahid kapoor in title role while Kay Kay Menon, Shraddha Kapoor and Tabu will play a pivotal role. Actor Irrfan Khan too plays a key role in the film.

Haider has gained a lot of publicity due to its off beat music and dark theme. Shahid Kapoor is mostly known for playing role of loverboy in his films. He tried his hands in action in his last two films Phata Poster Nikla Hero and R Rajkumar but they flopped at box office. However there are several reasons that Haider might become the next big hit in the career of Shahid. Shahid is a brilliant actor and the way the trailer of Haider is presented, the film surely has created interest among the viewers. Shahid has adapted a whole new look for his film. For the first time in his career Shahid has gone to almost bald state. Also Shahid will be seen doing a rather dabce in   Haider.
   
Plot of Haider

Haider (Shahid Kapoor) lives in Kashmir along with his family. His father (Irrfan Khan) is killed by his uncle (Kay Kay Menon) due to his lust for power. He married Haider’s Mother (Tabu). Haider grows up to seek revenge from his uncle. He is joined in by a journalist named Arshia (Shraddha Kapoor). Will Haider be able to take revenge? Is the revenge necessary for Haider to cross the lines of humanity?
 The track Aao na is very good and has received huge positive response from fans. The track is alternative rock song which is kind of rare for Bollywood movies.
Haider Shooting Locations and Production

Haider is mostly shot in Kashmir.The shooting began in November 2013. There were some controversies too during the shooting of the film. Kashmir University Students disrupted the shooting. The film is shot on a budget of 37 Crore rupees.
